Project Overview

As part of Shapes' retainer clients, I worked alongside the Co-founder Steve, to develop a full brand identity for Finnain's, a cheese and wine deli. Following this I focused on designing essential store materials that brought their new visual identity to life across the storefronts.

Brand Foundation

• A distinctive logo that captured Finnain's personality.
• A colour palette.
• Brand guidelines that would inform all future design decisions.

Icon System Development

Building on the approved logo, I designed a complete icon set.

• Using the same core shape from the cheese icon as a foundation both in the other icons and as the apostrophe in the logo.
• Adapted this shape in creative ways to represent different products in their store.
• Created patterns from the icons for assets such as wax paper.

Store Material Designs

• Brand oriented posters using the icons and stickers I designed.
• Wax paper designs used for wrapping cheese.
• Staff aprons.
• LED light in the shape of his main cheese icon.
• Vinyl stickers and signage for the front doors and inner window to show customers who Finnian's is.
